hell for 500 bucks to be able to run a set of 550cc injectors, bump back timing, change the rev limiter/speed gov, then id be glad that is all i have to pay. an safc is half that and does a fraction.. 500 is a damn good price.
im just concerned on how user friendly this is going to be to reflash my ecu from a laptop and not @!#$ somethign up... my luck id probley load a trojan on my ecu and @!#$ something up. lol

exactly.. the same people who say $500 is way to much are putting APC mufflers and AAP spoilers on.. they dont care about paying $500 for that garbage. get real!

this could be the single best performance product every released for J body cars. if you doubt this, then your ignorant to what this software can do. J bodies are cheap, light, and have very decent engines available to them. add in a great (no hassle) tuning solution and it puts us on par, if not above, the rest of the sport compact pack..

Sven you totally quarterloafed your computer..

People ask when someone is going to release this, I tell them when GM releases the S/C for the Ecotec
No but really, I personally would shell out 1000 bucks on this even though my car is N/A right now. Its worth every penny for not having to send your PCM back to Jbodyperformance everytime you want to make a change.

I have a question about this. I was considering the MSD 6212 (the fully programmable one), will this replace all the programmable functions in that MSD box, making them redundant? If so I could just get my self the standard MSD 62112 box (saving about $100) and live without the programmable functions until this is released.

I would buy this just to remove the speed governor, lol. But I am going to wait to buy it, maybe buy it a couple of months b4 I get boosted. But I will DEFINITELY need this in the future.

whats this jibba jabbaa about 550cc injectors. I thought that the fuel rail dictated that. what injectors will you be able to use?

Also does anyone have a full list of what this can do.

click me or else!!!!!

^^^^^^ This link takes you to the HPtuners site that explains what their VCM software does.

I'll give you the two lowdowns...

1. It can read, clear and define DTC's (codes for Check engine light)
2. Unencrypt GM's security locks and allow you to edit and change the values inside your PCM (custom fuel tuning, remove governor, advance/retard timing, change tire size, change VIN, etc)

Their site explains the rest, a real bargain for those who are tuning or want an integrated diagnostic tool.

AFAIK it's like having a stand-alone. You can change every setting in the computer of the car. I might be wrong though . I'm all over it as soo nas it comes out ! Let's see if GM was right when they said you could get 168 hp on a stock tuned engine.

15.891 @ 88 mph stock, still getting @!#$ty launches...

yeah the 550cc will FIT in the the fuel rail, but its too big for the stock ecu to run without flooding. the HP tuners will help fine tune it.
