I want to do something about the stock tails but I hate the APC ones, any suggesttions, pictures, or links to decent looking tails? Peace.

Well, if you really wanna get crazy, you could always do the 03+ conversion. I believe it's the rear bumper and the center bezel in the trunk (not sure if you can use the same lid, but I think you can) that needs to be swapped out.

After that, you can use the TYC tails, which I personally LOVE. I might be doing this swap to my car in the near future.

you can swap the '03 rear end like Agent Omega said. it's a very easy, direct swap. the tail lights, plastic trunk panel and rear bumper are the only things that you need to swap. the trunk lid and rear quarter panels are the exact same, so no modification to those is needed at all.

(keep in mind this is a test fit picture, so the bumper is unpainted)...

you could always shave them and use led strips

Another option is keeping the stock taillights and getting the trunk panel painted to match the color of the car.

didn't think of the '03 swap... damn, guess I get the pwnd stamp in this thread.

So to rephrase... for 95-02, without doing the '03+ swap, there's nothing else as far as the actual tail light is concerned.

I too have done the 03 rear swap. I love my black TYC's.

i have a 97 gt, can i just straight paint the panel with no problems? i thought there where lights under ther or something

There are 2 lights under there for the license plate/Pontiac logo. If you paint it, you lose the logo, but if you remember to mask off the translucent plastic above the tag, you retain the license plate lights.

You can save the logo to, but it probablly wouldn't be perfect.

Obviously you would want to avoid painting over the backup lights on the panel as well.

Who needs reverse lights?

I don't even like that sunfire logo as a 3rd brake light, it looks too cheesy. I'm gonna paint it all I think. ^ those ^ Led tails look sick though! I hope those are commin real soon cause i'd be all over em.

where can you fine those black TYC's, I've searched a bunch of places and cant find a site with them?
