Poor Kennedy family and their car problems
Friday, May 05, 2006 11:27 AM on j-body.org
Wow it just doesn't seem to end except this time thank God no one drown. Why is it that this family can do what ever the hell they want and nothing ever gets doen to them!
In case your wondering what I'm talking about it seems old uncle Teddy the drunk has past his drinking gene's down to JR cause last night at around 3 am JR wrecked his car into a traffic barrier in DC and when the police arrived on the scean he couldn't hardle stand up, his speech was slured, and he reeked of alcohol. BUT in an odd twist of fate the DC police NEVER gave him a breathalizer !! Hell in fact they gave him a ride back home !!! Dear God will the cover ups for this family of drunk womanising murderers ever stop !!

Now what would happen if this were you or I ? God I hate this double standard sh-t !
And no I'm not saying its just limited to Democrates so Gam don't even bother to go there I'm saying in general. Shouldn't our electid officials be held to the same standards as we are ? If not even higher since they supposedly represent us ?

I have always thought that if the standard they were held to was any different than the public, it should be higher. They are our representatives, our leaders and to some extent role models. They really should be held to a higher standard.

Kennedy? A role model? That'll never happen. It's funny, I saw this happen on a local level not too long ago. A Des Moines PD officer was off duty, in his city-appointed vehicle (he is on the local vice squad), was pulled over by West Des Moines PD for speeding. He was doing in excess of 90 in a 55. That, by the way, is grounds for automatic indefinite suspension of driving privliges. He had also been drinking, which usually gets a free trip to Polk County jail. But, instead, the officer was not ticketed, no BAC testing was done. Instead the WDM officer called the DMPD watch commander and had the drunk officer picked up and escorted home. The officer wasn't fined at all, the only punishment he recieved was an unpaid administrative leave.

Yeah, the cops are being investigated for preferential treatment he was given to just go home after the crash. That kind of crap needs to end, too.

Yeah it does. It was a real big deal here with that vice officer, since it was shortly after an unrelated incident. Check this out. An off duty officer was on his way home in his personal vehicle. A van or truck not sure which. Anyway, the alternator died so he killed his lights to save power and keep the motor going until he could get home. He was stopped by another officer, no big deal. He identified himself as an off duty officer, and provided his badge and ID. The officer that made the stop detained him and ran him on a W/W check (wants and warrants), ran his registration to check if it was stolen, and ran his DL for a validity check. Honestly, does that make any sense?

Back on track. This Kennedy thing. I don't see where they get off. It's not just them, though. It's all the big dogs in Washington. It's like they're above the law. Frankly I hope he gets nailed for his actions just like you or I would..

For one: it's not like there are other "prominent" american "aristocratic families" (read also: Bush's bloodline) that doesn't have it's skeletons in it's closet--amnogst many others...

That being said, i could care less about them except for the entertainment value.

Is Junior an elected official?

Either way, the law isn't uniformly applied every time... and never will be. Celebrities, big business people, sports stars, elected officials... They'll get away with a lot of things, why? Magical thinking. If you want to find out about that: read Lucky Man by Michael J. Fox.

And Jack: if you agree to cut out the comments about the drunk womanising murderers, I'll agree to cut out the comments about the Drunk, War Profiteering, Warmongering Murderers... mmkay?

And Gam I'm not being mean to the Kennedy's I'm only stateing a proven fact about the entire family dateing back to JFK.

Again, Jack, don't get caugfht up in the misinterpretation that it's *only* the Kennedys that have a history about them like this.

While I agree the next spawn of that bloodline they should probably just name "Alleged" just to save some time, this isn't a phenominon limited to them.

So jack...your take on this theoretical Grudge Match™?

In a Tibetian drinking contest--trading shot-per-sot (a la Raiders of the Lost ark) who would win? Boris Yeltzin or Ted Kennedy?

Nah, Yeltzin. Kennedy grew up on Cosmopolitans and ther like. Plus he's good for an AMERICAN. We're not known through the world as drinkers.

Yeltzin grew up on bad Russian vodka, and he's among Russia's ELITE--these guys put the Canadians, Germans, Irish (true irish, as opposed to americanized Kennedy), and the Scots to shame.

And since this is Tibet--they aren't drinking, say a fine Stoli or Jack Daniels--it's more like femented yak piss strained through a sherpa's sock that was worn constantly for two weeks. Kennedy would likely gag on this, but to Yeltzin, who's probaby been weaned on turpentine, this is a veruitable pronocopia of flavors and a bouquet of smells that would please his pallete.

I'm giving this one to the russian. Plus, have you seen Boris' wife? I'd think drinking is a necessity if you have to wake up next to that beshemoth.

I don't know....... I've heard Teddy has more alcohol then blood in his veins. He gets cut and it evaporates before he needs a band aid. Hell he can't even talk straight till hes polished off his firts 5th of the morning. Everythings
"Eh, Ah" this and that, almost as hard to understand as Ozzy Ozbourne is from what I'm told. Yeltzin may like the taste of the yak piss but my monies still on Teddy. I mean come on haveing to live with the fact that hes done the sh-t that he has its no wonder the man can't pee standing up anymore.

And hs son..... Its inherrited. Hopefully he got his daddies bullet proof liver too.

You're forgetting...this is Yeltzin we're talking about....Kennedy's good--for an american, but i doubt he would fare well on the international circuit (I think Winston Churchill would drink Kennedy under the table, and Yeltzin would demolish Churchill).

And again, Kennedy was reaned on martinis and cosmopolitans. Yeltzin was weaned off of metalated spirits that have better ignition and disinfectant properties--after all, this was cold-war russia we're talking about.

And while Kennedy slurs his speech, has he every gotten so blized that he jumped up on stage, on national TV, and attempted to dance in front of his voting base? Nah--the worst he did was make hias car do a swan-dive into the Chippaquidick and then sleep his hangover away.

Sorry, Teddy's good--i'd love to see him in a shot-for-shot match with Dubya, but the only person i'd put up against Boris would be Senator John Blutarsky (bonus for those that get that reference). He may have to drink to forget what he's done in the past, but have you ever seen Yeltzin's wife? Nothing Kennedy ever did could relate to that horror.

So, in the words of Comrade Yetzin:
Das vedana, Tovarish!

P.S. I want GAM to put his $.02 in on this one...
