1994 Chevrolet Cavalier RS

About This Vehicle:

Stripped out for 1/3rd mile circle track racing. Car must have a stock motor, with some minor tweaks allowed, and must have a roll cage, no glass, and a tinned in rear compartment. This car has a full cage, sheet metal doors (because of the cage), fuel cell, racing wheel w/quick disconnect, racing seat, hood/trunk pinned, AC removed, and a highly modified wiring harness. The stock turn-key ignition has been obsoleted, the car runs off a series of switches and a starter button, including a switch to turn off the alternator during green flag racing, for just a little extra HP. The dash has been replaced with sheet metal, and aside from the switches, some lights, and a tach, it's pretty bare at the moment. When we (a friend and I) got the car, the car didn't run because of the wiring, wouldn't engage the clutch due to a bad clutch slave cylinder, and needed all the brake lines and master cylinder replaced. It also needed the doors skinned, hood and trunk installed, fuel lines run, and fuel pump replaced. We had the car ready for the start of the season in 3 weeks, including a paint job and vinyl numbers. This car is now sitting in the woods, next to a 92 or 93 z24, which I bought for the skin. With 3 weeks left in the season, I T-boned another car and destroyed the front of my car, the crash buckled the A pillar, firewall, and lower support, and pushed the left front tire up into the floor boards. The motor and tranny are still good though, they'll be swapped into the z24 over the winter and I'll be back next year.
