I bought the bike late June 2006. When I bought It it had about 3000 miles on it. I road all summer long. I was on 480 east and it was in the middle of rush hour traffic on Tuesday 9-5-06. I was in the fast lane doing 70 or 75mph. The guy in front of me slammed on his brakes for no reason, I reacted and locked up the bike. All I remember is rolling 12 or 13 times and skidding the rest of the way. I maintained my position in the fast lane. no one stopped to help. I got up, shook it off and I picked up my bike and the pieces I could and road myself to the hospital. Spent Tues-Thurs in the hospital. I had road rash on both hands and my right knee, bruises and bumps all over my body. I was wearing my helmet and leather jacket, my gloves were on back order but have them now. Being a girl, you have to be color coordinated, ya know? What an idiot. I am still going to continue to ride but i will make way smarter decisions on how and when I ride.
