Bad gasket?
Monday, September 29, 2008 4:15 PM
Today i was out test driving my car and when i got home it smelt really bad, so i checked out under the hood it stunk the worse on the driver side, so i put it up on the lift and i couldn't fine the problem. I was under there anyway so looked around and noticed that around the seams of the engine block and oil pan a lot of sludge and it still looked a little like new oil. i was wondering could my gasket be gone, i also noticed a tiny puddle of oil, but i have drove it since and i haven't seen anymore puddles since.

Another thing my engine has been running a little hotter than usual.a

It takes 8,460 bolts to assemble an automobile, and one nut to scatter it all over the road

clean everything up real good, then keep an eye on everything for leaks... Dont know why you are running hot? It could be multiple things? Check your overflow to see if it is topped off or not.
