hey kids, just found out I have a blown head gasket... (96 sunfire 2.0) can anyone in this area recommend a place to get it fixed? or even have a weekend to help me do it? I will supply the beer!!
what was the deciding factor that made you think you have a blown head gasket? I have been looking at mine for over a week now after I cleaned everything up for obvious leaks, but I have found none. I am thinking that it is still leaking due to my stuttering, and hesitation... Thank you!
98z24, lowered 2", aem intake, cat-back striaght pipes!, cop ligths in the front and rear, 18" liquid metal's, primer black, tint, full audio and video.
it is visibly leaking from between the head and the block. i only found it after starting the car and letting it get up to temp. There would just be a very small puddle of coolant on the front of the block with no visible leak because it would all evaporate, with the exception of this puddle. I couldn't figure out how the coolant was getting to this location, so i just let it run for about 5 minutes, and there it was.
You could try the Steve Steeb Service, its right in Ann Arbor, ive had them do some work. very honest....and reasonably cheap. I dont know if they can do a headgasket, i would imagine they would be able to, but it never hurts to give them a call.
I would give you a hand....but working 60 hours in Brighton doesnt really leave much time for replacing a head gasket.
anywho, I dont have the address but there number is 1-734-930-2277
