2.4 L DOHC coolant reflief screw, location?

I had a mechanic replace the thermostat housing on our '97 2.4 L DOHC, 4dr.
D.W. picked it up without having them refill the coolant they just filled with water for testing.

So, how do I burp the system? Chilton's manual says unscrew the coolant relief screw and fill system until coolant comes out of the relief screw opening. I'm not seeing it on the water outlet as indicated. Where in the heck is it?

Prior to this my neighbor and I replaced the leaky water outlet.

TIA,

Rob

To my knowledge the 2.4 doesn't have a bleeder screw... I just let it run with the overflow cap off letting the bubbles work their way out..

98z24, lowered 2", aem intake, cat-back striaght pipes!, cop ligths in the front and rear, 18" liquid metal's, primer black, tint, full audio and video.

Well, I did that for a while. But, my low coolant light is on. Temp gauge reads 195 after driving from 15 min.
But, I know I don't have the system full yet. System takes 10.4 qts. I only filled like 6qts or so. What's next?

try squeezing the upper coolant hose while the engine is running. Just keep "pumping" the hose until the air works its way out. It worked for me

2.4 does not have a relief valve. I havew always started the car with cap off let it come to full temp and fill. Then put cap on let it run a little longer. Then turn off and let it cool, check coolant level fill if needed. Easy.
