When i start up my car my engine shakes front and back pretty hard
and even worse when i shift from park to any other gear......
i noticed this the other day when we were re-wiring some stuff,
what is causing this and how can it be fixed?

My best guess would be motor mounts or
tranny mounts most likely motor.
Now would be a great time to upgrade to better
mounts. Not hard to replace either just a few bolts and
a jack are involved.

Get the mounts, of course.
But remember, alot of cars have some visible engine vibration under the hood when in park. A few of my cars that are autos look like there going to shake off there mounts in reverse, but the mounts are in great shape.
if you're looking for stock (not upgraded mounts or anything) your best and cheapest bet is ebay or the classifieds here.
