HELP horn dont work

ok i have a 1997 toyota cavalier im prity shure its the same as the chevy version
my qustion is is ther a relay or fuse for the horn as it does not work any more and my car will not pass a warrent of fittness(cant drive on the road without this)
i am stumped have looked in the fuse box under bonnet and on the pasanger side door and cant find it
my mate is an electrition and cant find it ether
thanks any help would be great

relay is on the steerign column.......fuse is on the drivers door panel

thanks man mine being a right hand drive i asume u mean passanger side door panal thanks man ill have alook now

Richard, yes Toyota Cavaliers are exactly the same as the Chevy one's but on ours the it is in Japanese.

The horn fuse is 3rd row from the top and 3rd fuse in from left. If your cigarette lighter isnt working working either then it is the fuse that is blown.

Richard If it is not a fuse or the relay, it could possible be the switches in the air bag. I had a 1995 Cavalier and the switches went in mine. Fortunately, it was covered under warrenty and the dealership had to replace the steering wheel airbag for free. Hope in your case, it isn't the airbag switches. Good Luck!!

thanks guys i cant find the relay under the steering colium. i have looked at all the fuses and they are all good but ill pull that one that u said out and replace it. i realy hope like hell that is nothen to do with the air bag as i dont have any insurance cover of any kind

i had the same problem and come to find out my horn itself was bad

thank u very much kiwi cav it was the dam fuse i was so stumped but that bit of in fo helped me so its going now thank you all for your help. yay
from now on ill double check the fuses
