TB help
Sunday, May 22, 2005 11:10 PM
Does anyone know how to adjust the intake setting on the TB. I'm reading that if I put the Cav. Conn. pullies on my ride will idle at a lower rpm, so I'm figuring that if I can adjust the TB intake setting I should be able to compensate for the lower rpm's.
I have a 2200

You've more than likely seen on older model cars you could adjust the TB to a different opening amount at idle.... tightening the cable you would adjust how much air is let in through the TB at idle. kinda catching on now????

welcome to the f/i world. there's a screw on the tb but it's useless. the IAC will adjust the idle by itself even if you move it and will probably give more problem.

btw, if your alternator is not making enough power at idle, get a better one or a capacitor.
