Unless your SE has a 2.4TC it won't work. If you do have the 2.4 motor, there are still some concerns. The oil pan on the 2.4 has either one or two added bellhousing bolts, can't remember exactly. The 1995 2.3 oil pan has these added holes for the bellhousing, but won't fit because in 1995 balance shafts were added to the rotating assy. This means GM changed the oil pan rails on the block to fit those stupid shafts. Hope that helps.

right now my car has the 2200 motor in it with the 4 speed tranny . so i would have to change the motor and the tranny to put the 2.3 in my car

Take a look at everything bolted to, plugged into, wired to, screwed into or otherwise attached to the engine. Making note of all that? That's what's going to have to be swapped. Essentially the entire engine bay.

sounds like i have to change everything. it might be better just to get some parts for the grand am of ebay fix it and drive that to. its a 5 speed to my sunfires auto. the motor only has 47K on it thats why i want it

sounds like a good idea id just fix up the grand am..it would probably be cheaper and easier..and faster in the long run

Could you explain how the grand am would be faster in the long run being the have the same motor and one is lighter?
