Actually the stock installed hight of the 2200 valve springs is 1.60", while the installed hight of the 2.2L is 1.71". I seriously doubt they wold work on a 2.2L, you would lose too much seat pressure, running into valve float and seat bounce. Trying to reduce the installed hight to work with the springs would only cause valve guide and valve stem seal interference problems.

certain aspects of it are better, such as the stock roller rockers, and topfeed injectors. however... neither of the two motors are really that great lol
