does a 95 2.2 header fit on a 98 2200?
brand is OBX...

Yes, but you'll have to modify the cat flange on the down pipe to fit the cat. That is if or what cat you have.
No. The 2200 has different exhaust ports.
so which of you are positive?

The exhaust ports and bolt pattern are the same design, the ports are smaller on the exhaust than the 2.2L. You just cant take full advantage of the exhaust flow because of the smaller ports. The intake ports are squared compared to the round intake ports of the 2.2L, the intake won't match up at all.

A more accurate observation has never been typed. These should be the starting points before any serious performance modification. What's the point of making a serious performer if you can't control it's power?

that page is really out of date...
as long as you use a gasket made for your car, either header will fit without any problems....
thing is headers are made with a larger port opening, so even if its not directly centered, its still gonna be larger than the exhaust ports...
everyone running the obx header on a 2200 is running pacesetters older 95-97 version header... it fits 2200s....
95-97 have a different head then the 98-02 2.2 OHV engine. We sell a pacesetter header for the 95-97 and the 98-02.

and there is exactly no difference in either of them

, I called pacesetter yesterday and was told that both there 95-97 and 98-02 2.2 header was the same, they simply made the ports oversized to work with both heads.

exactly....
after installing psucavy99's obx header in my front yard, i was kinda like, aint that sumptin....
eric from pacesetter has made a few posts on this already if anyone wants to or needs to look em up...
so the 95-97 header will bolt right up and work on a 98 2200

Didn't think it could be more obvious than that....
