im getting back into this whole j-body life again and its been awhile since i had my 97 cavalier.. but now i just got a 99 cavalier and im looking for some good engine mods quick and easy to more in depth i have the 2.2 with the 5 speed and also whats the difference between the 22 i have and the 22 ecotec?? and i need some ideas for the chassi also thanks for your guys input

the 2200 is OHV and the Ecotec is DOHC I have heard rumors that the DSM motors and the ecotec's are very similar, that is definetly a good thing. Ecotec's rock 2200 don't quite rock as much. Sorry to bash the 2200's but there is no comparison

well if you had a 97 it's ALMOST the same motor then. go for the easy cheap mods to start off with. mounts, intake, exhaust, header, pulley, coils, rockers, and you'll have a low 15 second car.
