Dropped it off at a local machine shop today. 'He's boring it to a 56mm and making me a new butterfly. He estimated 3.5 hrs worth of labor. I should be getting it back in about a week. I'll have a review on it then.

Oh i feel like i notice a diffrence out on the highway, but off the line it is crap, lost low end, there is post about this saying rsm's tb and im is basically only good for j's with turbos and superchargers, i would not reccomend the rsm tb or im to anyonem ; its plain and simple carppy, on the 2200 in my exsperience, could be wicked on the 2.4 and eco.

Basically you only need a larger TB than stock if you need to flow alot more air than stock.

If you get to big of a TB its just like putting a 3" exhasut on a NA motor...you lose power.

Don't call a product crappy just because you bought too big for your application! I'm sure the product did exactly what it's supposed to, it's just not matched well to an NA 2200.
15.3 @ 89.97mph, 14's on the way?

yaeh the product probally does what it's suppose to, but i mean better advertising is needed, that should state that there 62mm tb is only good for power gains on a car that is not N/A, i would have never bought it if i knew what i did now, it pays to search out info, i found that out the hard way.
Anyone want to buy a 62mm tb and ported im for a 2200?
98 j-body sedan
Well, I have heard good things about the 2.3 HO throttle body on the 2200, esp. if you have the AEM cai and an extensive exhaust, so I bought one and will be giving it a shot.
I'll have a sig someday....................
Between my JBP 62 mm TB and my exaust I noticed massive gains on top end but lost low end power.

Does your car feel like she is holding back when you give her off the line from a stop?
mine does, unless i put it right to the boards;lol.

Yea but if you rev it up and get the air flowing its not to bad. Definatly lost low end and its hard to get used to the lost of my beloved torque but I guess the top end gain was worth it. We'll see if I make it to the track next month like I want.

I think Ill just stick with my 56mm throttle body since im not running anything else except the intake and full exhaust. Itll give good gains throughout from what I have seen and heard.

i didnt feel much from my TB at all
when i put the pulley on is when i felt a difference

Still waiting on my T/b...
as far as sizing of the t/b, anything much bigger than 56-57 is a waste....unless you're going F/I. I chose 56 because i am going n/a, which is around the perfect size for a n/a engine.
As stated before, a t/b that is too big will make you lose power.
When i get it back, i'll put it on and give it my review. I'm just hoping that he does a good job on it. The guy used to be a machine shop teacher at our local Technical Education school. The only thing he was really concerned about was whether or not he went over a few thousandths of an inch, which is not a concern for me as long as the butterfly fits like it's supposed to (as in, he oversizes the butterfly by a few thousandths if he cuts the bore over a few thousandths).
if all works out good, $160 for a direct bolt on 56mm t/b...not too bad.
