it's a muffler... they are loud. what's important is you do the proper size header back exhaust with a resonator.

A resonator gets rid of the raspyness caused by the header and the larger pipe diameter, and also quiets and deepens the exhaust tone.

Nope. A resonator, also known as a glasspack, has multiple uses. A resonator / glasspack can be used as the muffler in a post-catalytic exhaust system, when piping will continue from the resonator to a tip. Or it can be used in addition to a muffler to quiet it down. You should go with something about 18 to 20 inches long. You can buy them from Magnaflow, Summit Racing, Jegs... the list goes on. You DO want it to be the same diameter as the rest of your exhaust. So naturally, 2.25" diameter.

The longer, the quieter and deeper the tone.

borla said go with the boomer series, it has a ricer sound, the others have a more throatier sound, u think a throatier sound isnt all that great for a cavalier?

What would give a good g35 sound, deep and smooth? Any ideas from the cat back?

^^ Can anyone recommend the exact resonator and mufflers(dual exhaust) to get.

Real low, smooth and consistant sound. Nice purrr when running normal, but a deep increasing growl when it gets steped on. (Almost a good smooth intake sound, but more exhuasty, if you know what I mean). I'm sure most of the sound those high performance cars get is from the engine and its components, but something close as possible would be great.

thanks
