Which 2.4 are you talking about? And which 2.2 for that matter.

I dont see how it is useless, look at the ecotec, its a 58mm, thats bigger than the 2.4's, and the ecotec is a smaller engine, it not useless if you add some more fuel to it.

Adding more fuel to it won't do anything. The engine can only bring in a certain amount of air. Using a bigger Tb with almost no modification is plain useless.

And it's the same thing as saying a 2.3 has a bigger Tb than a 2.4. Reason is because the 2.3 take alot more air than a 2.4. It flows alot more. Same thing with the eco. So using a bigger Tb on the 2.2 is plain useless unless you got major mods.

By your logic adding an intake would be useless too. That's not the case.. Your letting the engine breath.

If that is your only mod, it would not be as useful as some other mods, but not useless.

If you plan on doing other mods, exhaust, cams, whatever then it would most certainly not be useless.

Volumetric Efficiency

Volumetric Efficiency 2

I don't go from what I think, I go by what it is. A larger Tb and an intake is 2 different things. an aple is an aple and you can't compare it to an orange.

An intake will free up some Hp lost in the OEM intake system. Alarger Tb will not do anything really good since it doesn't bring more air in unless the engine can take more. If you use the OEM intake system, a larger Tb don't do anything since the system is so restricitive.

If you use it with an intake, you already open up the flow so if the engine can'ta tke more (IE cams, P&P,...) It won't do anything.

Another thing, for 300$ you gain 1-2hp with a Tb. It's plain stupid to buy a larger Tb unless you got major mods. IE: Karo
