port and polish basically makes the intake ports and exhaust ports bigger and smoother, which increaces airflow, which inturn creates powr by letting more air in and out of the engine. Along with this, you should also get the intake manifold ported as well.

Hey there Rob.

I have a spare head I'm getting P&P as well and it will be well worth it.
If you ever saw the pinky finger sized exhaust holes alone, you'd want a P&P right then and there.

Parts as in valves, guides, springs etc can get up to about +/-$500

Then you have to find a shop, and depending if you want simple P&P to aggressive 3 or 5 angle valve job, with or without oversized valves, labor can get between $500-$2000 in itself.
But htose costs are more regional than anything.
Shops in the south, mid americal tend to charge less per hour than the east/west coasts, florida, tx, az, etc.

But after all of that is said and done, you'll need the thing installed.

Again if you have a shop, it can run you upwards of $500-$1000.
But then you need all the gaksets, oil, coolant, and whatever else.

So there's a lot to it that doesn't get discussed.

Bottom line, whatever you do it aint cheap.

Meantime, I may part with the 59mm tb.
You get first dibs of course.

i paid 500 to have mine p/p and a valve job . but it was a 2.2l head im sure the 2.4l would be more. so i would guess somewhere between 5-600.?
