Hey guys i just bought a crankshaft kit for my 2.4 and the cranks look exactly the same EXCEPT the balance shaft sprocket. the old crank has it the new one dont. I already gave them the old one for core but they said i can buy a new sprocket for 10.00 so thats no biggy. my only question is there is no keyway or nothing on the new crank that would hold the sprocket in place I have a picture below for you to see what im talking about the old crank had the sprocket on the part behind where the flywheel bolts up. Im afraid they gave me the wrong crankshaft. The casting number is 4620 if that helps any. Reply to this ASAP please.

It's called a "press fit" or "interference fit". The crank outside diameter is physically larger than the sprocket inner diameter. You need to heat the sprocket up(preferably in an oven for about a 1/2 hour at 400 degrees farenheight) and press it on to the shaft with a brass sleeve or another material that is low in tensile strength. If you don't have access to a press, use a brass sleeve and tap with a hammer (wear welding gloves, sprocket must still be as close to the achieved oven temperature as possible when installing) work quickly, when the sprocket cools the inner diameter will decrease again locking the sprocket in position.
If your not comfortable with doing this take it to a machine shop, I'm sure someone will do it for less than $50.00.
good luck
