now if i go with 2.25 setup all the way from header to muffler, where my muffler would be 2.5... would it reflect on the performance? should i get the 2.25 one ? what do you guys think?
no it wouldn't effect the performance at all. do whatever you think is best.
It won't effect it. Your exhaust system is only as big as your smallest point...if you have a full 2 1/4" system, that muffler won't make any difference but I personally would try to keep everything the same size.

not to thread jack but anyone know the size of the downpipe on the pacesetter and weapon r headers? Also I will be boosting later down the road so should i get a 2.25 or 2.5 exaust? (not sure yet if it will be turobed or sc'ed)

^^^ They are 2.25" at the end and I think the pacesetter is 3" at the collector. If you are going turbo their is no point to the header tho.
To the original poster, it will not affect it but as NJHK said I would keep it the same size to.

The collectors on the Weapon-R is 2 1/4", I want to say Pacesetters is 2 1/2" or 3".
Turbo or Supercharged, 2 1/2" would be more suitable.

I'm thinking of going turbo but it wont be for a year or 2 so i have no problem dishing out the money for a header. I already know someone who said that they would buy it from me if I did turbo it.

I meant at the end...not collector

What if turb or supercharged are still a looong way down the road, would 2.5" exhaust be too much on a stock engine? Or would it really matter all that much, either way it'd be a little "stronger" than a stock exhaust?
My bad, I thought your point was more along the lines of the having the header if you were going turbo down the road. I'll have to read closer next time.

You'll just lose some low end power compared to if you had a 2 1/4" exhaust.

the shop will just expand the 2.25" piping to 2.5" to mate with the muffler. no biggie. i went from 2.5" pipe to a 2.25" muffler and they just expanded the muffler. quarter inch is ok
14.82 @ 97 mph
the pacesetter b-pipe is 2.25", just for the record
Ill make a sig someday
