I have a '97 Z24 and I just ordered a pacesetter ceramic coated header and a magnaflow high flow cat. I was wondering what size and what brand resonator I should get? What will fit? I also have a 2.5" custom catback that can easily be cut down and rewelded to fit the resonator when I get it. What do you guys recommend? What gives the best sound for the 2.4L?

Well you want to keep it 2.5" since thats what you have, all tho I think its to big on a na motor. Anyway I would get atleast a 20" resonator. Mine is 25"s and I got it from summit for like $20.

Should I get the 2.5" in/out or the 2.25" in/out? I know the pacesetter header is 2.25" and the Magnaflow cat is 2.25" so should I open up to 2.5" with the resonator or just leave it 2.25" until the catback which is 2.5"? I know I should really have 2.25" the whole way but will having 2.25" all the way to the catback and then opening up to 2.5" really affect performance in any way?

In your case, you could go with either really. Since you will have some 2.25" exhaust, the 2.5" catback may not hurt you as much. Why did you go with a 2.5" tho?

I was planning on getting the GM supercharger until I found out that it's only for 2000+ models. So I was going to set up 2.5" all the way back but now I hear that is bad for NA motors so I'm making the switch to 2.25".

there was a guy who made a thred bout 2.5" and 2.25" exhaust, not much difference, i have 2.5 and love it
