ok so The engine is at the machine shop. here is what is currently being done
bored out 20 over
custom forged pistons for 9.0 compression
we are milling the head
port and polishing the cylinder head with a valve job
balancing the crank
eagle H beam rods
we are also most likley going to replace the oil pump with the 2.3 pump
removing the cat.
and cutting off the stock z24 muffler tip and rewelding it to my dynomax muffler for a nice stock look =)
This will go nicley with the gm supercharger
secret cams
and motor mounts
after this I am getting the 2.5 pulley. and installing my straight alky kit. with of course fuel mods.......
I dont know if i would do the secret cams and the supercharger, just the s/c
anything that makes power naturally aspirated will let the engine make even more power under boost.
Only thing I'd worry about is if the cam has too much intake duration because then it can literally blow boost out when the exhaust valve opens if the intake is still open. A friend of mine was making 370 at the wheels with his old cam, then he switched to a new cam with more intake duration and it only made around 330 hp. It does seem to work well with nitrous though as he has ran an 11.7 with that cam. The motor is supercharged with a front mount intercooler and he is running about 17 psi. This is on a V6. On a 100 shot it put down 446 at the wheels. So the nitrous added more than 100 hp and that was with a 100 hp nitrous jet and a 75 hp fuel jet.
But if the cams don't have too much intake duration you'll be fine and will really make some power with the supercharger. I don't know how much boost you are running but you will likely need a bigger pump and bigger injectors as well as spraying alky at anything over 5-6 psi since you don't/can't intercool the GM S/C on the 2.4L.

your right but the HO cams make power to like 7400 or something...the motor will still be making power when your s/c won't....i don't know what the power band is but it won't be going all the way up to redline which the cams will be making power to the redline.....its your motor do what you want but i'm just giving you some input
100 hp nitrous jet with a 75 hp fuel jet? How has he not blown up the engine?
Some times the best way to get that tailgater off your but is to light a fart.
Because the car has 50 lb injectors and a 255lph forced induction pump. Its already more than capable of delivering enough fuel before the nitrous so when the nitrous is activated it was running too rich with the 100 jet. So the put in the 75 jet and got it back to where it needed to be a/f wise. It was dyno tuned using a wide band sensor and has an SCT Racers package w/ 4-program chip (street, race, nitrous, and theft proof no run setting). Trust me, with the money this guy has put into this car he made sure its not gonna blow up.
Now this guy may want to consider contacting crane or comp cams and seeing if they can regrind him a cam that will make more low end power but that might peak around 5000 or 5500 depending on what the power range is of the supercharger. Usually a roots blower will make more low end and then kind of die off up top.
My car has an M90 on it and I have an overdrive pulley on the blower. Its intercooled also. My redline hits at 5200 rpm. I've ran it to 6000 before (fuel cut off is like 6200) but it doesn't seem to pull any harder. Plus shifting it by 5200 rpm puts it back in the power band as the torque peak is 2600 rpm and the hp peak is around 3500 rpm. If I get the supercharger case ported and get a bigger intercooler I could probably still make power to 6000 but then I'd want better valve springs, and a cam that is designed to run a little higher now.

the secret cams work very well with boost....... on both S/C and Turboed engines.....
sounds like a nice engine setup.
What Head Gasket did you go with, and how much did you have shaved off the head?
