Ok, i just installed my electronic fuel pressure gauge (Autometer) in my ecotec and it is reading 10 PSI. Does that sound like the fuel pressure an ecotec should have with the factory fuel pressure regulator?
no that is a incorrect reading
you should be seeing in the high 50 range
Yeah some thing isn't wired right, you should be from 55-60 or so at idle.
2012 HD VRSCF
2010 Ford Explorer
2006 Ford Ranger
2004 Chevy Cavalier
i thought idle pressure was 43?

1989 Turbo Trans Am #82, 2007 Cobalt SS G85
the ohv and 2.4 are in the 40 range
ecos are in the 50 range
Ok i think i fixed it. Im reading a constant 58 psi all the time. Should this be the same all the time or should it fluxuate at idle and WOT? For the wiring i tapped the red wire (12V ignition) into the fuse box where the fuse read IGN MOD. Is there anywhere else i can tap or is this good enough for a 12V signal?
Oh yea. I tapped the fuel rail for the sensor.
my brother has a fuel pressure gauge it is around 50psi at idle and goes up to 60 or so at WOT, he is running the RSM stage 1 supercharger, so your pressure may not be as high but it should flucutate with how hard your pushing the GO pedal.

are you sure the fuel pressure on a non-force induced engine will rise when you push on the gas? The only thing that changes when you push the pedal is how much fuel the injectors let in, not the actual pressure. thats what a FMU will do and thats why your brother see's the pressure rise when he's in boost. A stock ECO would show constant pressure all the time.
so what was wrong ??
and the pressure change depends on how you have your fpr hooked up
if there is no vacuum hooked to it it wont move
Ok sounds like i hooked it up right. Now when i put my Cartech FMU on with my turbo then i will see the fuel pressure fluxuate and move becasue im changing the fuel pressure.
