k i got an extra block from a salvage yar and its got some rust where the water pump is. what is the easiers way to get rid of it? also how do i get the the three prong thing that connects to the crank pulley off ?

Is it on the flange, or on the outside of the block itself?

its like inside where the water gets pumped out and comes in. the guys just broke off the inlet thing and it got water in it while just sitting there and theres rust in it is ther any way to get rid of it or not?

Try using a wire brush on a high speed drill (wear safety goggles).

ok im startin to think my extra engine is garbage. it has rust where the water pump goes and inside where it flows too. is that really bad or kinda normalish and can be used? not muxh else is rusted on it besides those place will it mess up the flow later or what could i do for it?

ummm., you can go and get the block hot tanked at a machine shop. thats not a solution or anything, but you should do that anyways right before you start to build the engine cause you;ll prob be boring it out anyways.
and while your there ask the machinist what he can do about it. they'll have something

try cleaning it out a bit and dont worry about it Its not going to do anything.
