What does your 95-99 2200 auto rev at?

i got a 1997 2.2L Cavalier Auto, it has the rpm gauge in the cluster. when driving 100kph, it revs at jut over 2500 rpm, is this right?
does anyone else have a 2.2L auto, with a tach, please tell me what yours revs at

seems normal too me, my 2.4 is rite around that rpm at 100km...

it seems like its just screaming at 2500 rpm, it also has a k&n filter

I have a '02 2200 and at 2500rpm I'm at about 115-120 kph. Are you trying this when you engine is cold? When my engine/tranny are cold it will be at 2500rpm and 100kph.

its like that all the time, maybe its not switching in 3rd, i'll have to check that out

if you have a 3 speed, it's normal. With the 4 speed, it should be lower.

As MFK-223 stated above, thats right. Thats about 62 mph. Unless your like me. 60 mph is at about 2750rpm. I replace my 2.84 diff for the 3.08 diff. If I do another motor, I'll get the 3.33 diff, because the motor would be turning the rpms needed for that!



And my rpms at 60 mph would be about 3000!
