What is the power difference between a 2.2 and a 2.3??? will the 2.3 swap right in place of the 2.2?? what is the power difference? let me know..thanks
um...i dont know which 2.2 your talking about, so ill just say this ..if your refering to a 2.3 High Output engine they are rated at 180hp and 190hp(w41) ..they will bolt up in our engine bay without much work...however,you will need the transmission from either a 2.4 or a 2.3 AND a 1995 Z or GT pcm and wiring ...now,that is assuming you have a manual car..if you have an auto then things change a bit..and get more complicated
im talking about a stock 2.2 out of a 2000 cavalier....i dont know if its a 2.3 HO Im truly wondering. its out of a 1993 chevy cavalier.....so i dunno
no 2.3 were in the cavy except in 95. It was not an Ho. In 93 it''s either a 2.0, 2.2 or 3.1

really, all it needs is just a PCM with the engine bay harness? and about a 2.3 dohc I found in a cutlass supreme, it only had a lower engine mount. but the sohc had an upper mount similar in that 2200. i belive it to be, alot of work replaceing the cam housing with a 2.4 just for the cam sensor and using a getrag 5spd. does anybody get any errors at all if thats all you do?
oh yes. wouldnt I have to relocate the power steering pump? or what?

The 98+ LN2 is called the 2200, not a 2.2.

ok...dude im not sure what your talking about, but ill give the best answer i can haha
but if your asking if all you need to fit the 2.3 in a Jbody bay is the pcm and wiring then pretty much yes,but youll still need a getrag or isuzu transmission(5 speed) im so sure how to make a auto work....and for the mounts..you say it only had a lower mount..true it did,but it has the holes for the upper mount,they just werent used on hte engine( you will need to use them)
