Ok well these past couple of weeks have sucked for me. My car was wreked into and about 5,000 dollars of damage done to the back end of the car. My back is killing me. But anyways i got a question. I have got a AEM cold air intake and magnaflow exhaust. So my question is what is out there for some easy performance add-ons for my 2.2 ecotech. Besides a Supercharger cuz i might order one of those after the settlement check gets in. Some one please help??????????????????????????????????
Pacesetter 4-1 Ceramic
Magnaflow 94035 Cat
RSM or RK Sport Crank Pulley
TurboTechRacing or CarCustoms Upper/Lower motor mounts
Throttle Body (def. helpful w/ a supercharger)
um... yeah... thats about the easiest ones you have left...
Spec Stage 1/2 clutch and a Fidanza flywheel would help too
Well its an automatic (i know that sucks) but what does the motor mounts run and what does it do? An how much and how hard is it to intall the throttle body if i was to do it my self?
Throttle body is fairly easy... mounts are about $150-ish for upper and lower which will transfer more to the wheels...
Well i think i might have to get those mounts for my car if it helps with power. What about the DC headers are those better then Pacesetter or what????????????????
Do you know anything about the aftermarket intake manifolds for the 2.2 ecotec????
DC headers are different... not necessarily better... DC's are 4-2-1 which can give good midrange gains and good topend gains... the pacesetter is a 4-1 which will give ok midrange gains and great topend gains... so it depends on what you want... I put the pacesetter in mine and I noticed I have to rev it a bit more to get power out of it, but I probably gained a little more above 4500 than I would have if I'd gone DC sports...
besides, DC Sports is overpriced anyhow...
