Picking the right cam
Sunday, April 30, 2006 12:49 PM
I'm looking for a cams for a 2.2 ecotec as of right now i have full exhaust headers back, and intake. If it helps i also have B&M shiftplus and lowering springs with vibrant strut bars rear and front. I want to keep the car N/A I've looked into turbo techs stage cames and JBP's I've read what i could find in here about cams and was wondering what is wrong with going with a stage 2 cam? Other then finding a place to have it programmed. I did read about getting a cam that would help me more then others by staying within the same rpm band i usually drive around but i do take my track at least once a month. would a stage 1 came that helps from say 2000-4800 even if it only gives 10hp do better then a stage 2 giving 15hp but from 2800-6000 ?
