it's a vacuum source. use it if you need one, otherwise plug it. I have my pcv system routed through that instead of through the intake

if you have the two nipple sticking up on the top of the manifold then you dont need it, but if there is only one nipple sticking up then you will need it to use it.

im the one who was having problems that ryan is talking about. I got it fixed now... the problem i had was solved by cutting the excess thread off a bolt that was hitting the manifold and not letting it seal to the head well. Anyways sorta having issues again now, on first start it bounced between 1500-2000 at a steady pace and every once and awhile it would hold at 2000 for an extra second so i let it go for about 10 mins, came back, it was up to normal operating temperature but still bouncing fast. turned the throttle cable knob a little and it pinned at a steady 2500... let that run for about another 10 mins to see if it would settle and it was still pinned at 2500 when i came back out. oh ya and my CEL is on now

hey atleast it runs right now, just need to figure out the little idle problem...

any ideas...

Well officially,
That port back there is for the oil vapor return.

Its on the black stock baffle box as well.

Most people use the breather filter and plug that part up.

But officially its supposed to be used.

So I can put a little breather filter on the back of the mani and be done with it? because mine was plugged when I got it.. I only have 1 nipple on the top, and the other one is on the back of the mani for the fpr.

No,
With the mani off the car, factory stuff all removed, you should see two little openings on the block right under the intake opening on the cylinderhead

The one on the left if for the regular motor oil feed.
The one on the right is like the vapor return or whatever its called.

The one on the right is where you use the breather filter on the hose that's there.

On the mani itself, just plug up that port on the back thats in the pic.
