Ok so ive heard to go both ways? idk wats better a 4-2-1 or a 4-1? im leaning 4-1...... (i have a 2002 sunfire ln2 motor) I am currently under going a new exhaust with 2.25 piping and high flow cat. So ne suggestions?
since you have the ohv motor , the long tube header like pacesetters is a good allaround header
long tube style 4-1 have the top end , and also have the mid to keep up with the most 4-2-1
The difference in the end will be minimal honestly. It seems the 4-1's are a lot easier to come by for the OHV.
The 4-2-1 header will tend to give you a bit more low end power than the 4-1 header will - with the 4-1 you will see the gains more in the upper-mid RPM's and higher. Some people believe that the 4-2-1 is better for a daily driver since you're using that low end quite often. Others say that since it's a 4 cylinder engine, you're not going to see all that much low end regardless so you might as well beef up the range where the engine has a better chance to make power - the higher RPMs. But like I said...you may not really notice all that much difference between the two. Either one will be an improvement.
4-1 makes more power in the upper end of the powerband
4-2-1 makes more power at the lower end of the powerband.
Dude your sig is weird^^^^^

I thought the same thing. Mario can't jump in mid-air.
Is this Pacesetter a 4 -2 -1 header? looks like unless thats just purely cosmetic.
No that shound be a 4-2-1 but idk about being a pacesetter
