Any ideas on how much power?

Just sent our motor off to Shaver to get the work done. Here is a list of the build, if anyone has anyting similar, what kind of power are you making? .020 over Wiescos Low Compression, Eagle Rods, ARP Head studs, Ray Bates set up the Head, Cam Gears, Stock cams, FAST, MSD Ignition, including the Distributor, T28 Turbo. going to try to run on Super Unleaded, but will put in good gas if need. Also, when you dyno'd, did you need to degree the cams. Talked with Gary Kubo, and he said he would run them straight up, but am open to any help you can offer. If things go well, I'll try to post up dyno results when they get done, but that won't happen for about four months or so, since the car won't be ready til then.

kind of hard to "guess power" levels when we dont even know the full build and how much boost you'll be running. as for the cams, run em straight up...

What more info would you want? I listed all being done to it. We are goig to try to keep the boost to about 10-15 lbs. Oh, this is going into a sand rail, and the reason for the boost limit is we don't have a good tranny, so a 091 Bus trans will not take all we can throw at it. Thanks for the cam suggestion.

Perhaps the engine you started out with would be nice.

How much PSI you are going to run would help as well.
What compression pistons you are using is also helpful.
What you are going to do with the cam gears is useful (advance or retard).

Yeah, theres a LOT of information you left off of there.

Ok, I guess I'm kind of a lame ass. It's an Ecotec 2.2L, and the pistons are the 9:1 Wiescos. I have heard straight up on the Cam is going to be the best, but will try and move it around on the dyno. Are there any turbo specific cam grinds for Ecotecs? If so, who makes them? And like I said, on the boost side of it, I would like to keep it under 15psi.

10-15psi on a properly built ecotec i would think 300hp. in that ball park... hard to say, you havent listed ALL, is it intercooled, stock throttlebody, stock intake manifold, any other bolt ons, any special work being done to the block/rotating assy itself. what size turbo, etc etc etc...

It won't hit 300hp with 10-15psi. You'll need a really good intercooler to reduce the heat of that T28 at 15psi.

Go with a bigger turbo. You're just wasting time and money right now.

Yes, it is intercooled. The intercooler is probably 18x24 at least, it is running a stock throttle body, has a custome sheet metal intake. Nothing special is being done to the rotating assembly, or the block. I would like to sleeve it, but just not enough money for now. The T28 was given to me by a friend who used to make well over 300 with it in his Honda, so I would assume it would make at least that on this engine, or at least I hoped it would. Thanx for all your input so far. Once it is together, I will let you know how it goes.

Well, you'll end up blowing your engine. You need to understand that a turbo is not only a turbo. You have to understand that a T28 is TOO SMALL for our engine. Yes it will make psi but psi don't mean sh** other than pressure. You can have 200psi and no Cfm behind it and you won't make power.

You won't get good result with that turbo. Also, did you went by what you friend said or by a dyno slip?

Yes, I had seen that car dyno'd with it, so I know it is a well working turbo, but I am open to suggestions if you have any. If you believe it is too small, can you possibly suggest what you might think would work? I am only hoping for around 250- 275 due to our limited trans.
