Well i finally got my valves adjusted after the Crane Rocker Arm install, but now i've come across some more performance problems. I dont know, this may be moved to maintenance. My heat is going way up during normal street and highway driving, i almost never go past half on my dial and no im closing in on 90%. This has kept up the past few days and im having absolutely no cold air in my AC and my fans arent kicking on to my knowledge. So, possible dead thermostat? Also, to do the Crane install, i removed my baffling in the valve cover and through the "PCV" valve on top of it, oil, and alot of it, was thrown into my intake and filter and throttle body through the tube going to my intake. I cleaned all of that up with some cleaner product and put one of the APC breather intimdator filters on the nipple of the valve cover hoping the oil would just get stopped in the filter, but now it just shoots out the bottom of it. I dont want to just plug up the hole in the valve cover cause the crank case needs to breath, but what should I do? I needed the baffling gone i nthe cover for the rocker arm clearance and I cant help but think if that all of this is connected somehow. Thanks a bunch guys!
You were supposed to remove very little of the baffling, not all of it. Did you not read the directions?
The only thing i can think of right now is get a catch can between the PCV nipple on the valve cover and your intake.
In reguards to your higher temps. Even if you have a bad thermostat the fan should kick on. Also fan should kick on when A/c is on. If you have hot air in your A/C then your fan is not running. You can test the fan by grounding the fuse (under the hood).

Well, yes i read the instructions, and it just says to remove the internal baffling. Not where, or how much, and i neede the clearance in alot of areas.
You can see it says that here. And thats a big negative on any fan action. Ima stay off it too hard till i get it checked out.

Yes it does, it says to only grind down where the red arrows are:
slight valve cover modification is required. After removal of the internal baffle grind the locations indicated with red arrows. Click use the following link to see the modification

I put the internal baffle back on after grinding those sections down.
The fan is a seperate issue. The clearence can be solved by seeing if they make thicker valve cover gaskets or
stacking 2 of them up. Thats what we had to do on the small block chevy's till they came out with tall covers.
Good luck.
