so on my 98 automatic 2200 2.2L cavalier ive decided to do a swap for the 2.4L twincam. does everything match up or is there anything else that has to be done, and around how much should it cost *junkyard*

just search, people ask soo many times. Personally if you wanted a car with a better motor, it would be easier to buy one that had it in there from the factory.

well i dunno man i know one junk yard here in buffalo will sell a 2.4 motor for $185 as far as a iknow everything bolts up====as for trannys i think the 2.4 tranny has 4 gears where the 2.2 has 3. I hope this helps a little
swap lots, almost everything, good luck, and post results, if you are asking a noob question like that, you just thought of it yesturday. It's not worth your time IMO to go from a LN2 to a LD9, I have had both and have a built 2.4 now... if doing a swap do a full EMS, ecotec, turbo unit, don't screw that much for 35HP at best.
