Running Rich??

Well I finaly got all my kinks worked out of my car after the HO Intake Manifold and 56mm TB. But ever since the swap I can smell my exhaust fumes alot more. The exhast fume is stronger, first thing that came to my mind was that the car is running rich. Well I do have a FAZE a/f ratio guage and it says I'm running about normal. Even on a cold start it barely goes past ideal on the guage. I know that these a/f ratio guages are not the best that is why I'm asking if anybody is running a little rich after they install the intake manifolds and tb's. If so how did you lean it out a bit? Thanks ahead of time.

My car has two speeds, fast and faster.

I don't have a Intake Mani but I am running dead rich. I wish there was an affordable intake manifold for the ecotecs though.

I didnt do the HO mani swap (bored out the OE mani) but my car started running a little lean at first. Then after a couple of miles, it ran fine. ECU adjusted, as it should. Only thing I can think of is your bringing more air into the system, so you car is adjusting to the added air and is dumping more fuel to accomidate it.

Besides that... an O2 senors is starting to go bad or you cat isnt burning the left over fuel. But normally, if this were the case, if it goes beyond the cars capabilites, you'd throw a code.

Keep us updated.

Yeah I think it was the ECU adjusting with the more air being added in, the car is running great now, don't smell the gas as bad as I did before. Thanks everybody for your help.
