Ok here's the thing, on my Daily Driver 98 Z, it was raining like hell here in Detroit last wed, so I end up having to go through like a 6-8 inch puddle. My car stalls. I get pushed out by an F-150 (I guess Fords aren't total @!#$ lol).
When I go to restart the car, BOOM. Nothing but loud unattractive noise accompanied by Check Engine and Oil Lights. So I pull about 8 Feet forward into a parking spot and look back, nothing but oil where I was. So I look under the car and sure enough, my oil pan is cracked right in half. So what I wanted everyone's opinion on is should I just go buy a refurbished motor or rebuild the bottom end of this one? I'm not sure which would be cheaper, but I'm hoping somebody can help. Thanks in advance guys.
P.S. This is the 3rd motor i've blown between my 2 J's, god i love the LD9!!

junkyard motor and rebuild for fun. that motor probley spun a rod bearing and the rod killed itself in the after math.
sounds like you got your computer wet. Just get a junkyard engine and run that... maybe get a spare and build it. If neither of those interest you I have a 2000 LD9 with 30k miles on it.
