EGR Blocking Plate

Does anyone know where i could buy a EGR Blocking Plate for my 98 Z24 2.4? I would rather buy one, but ill make one if i have to.

1999 2.4L EGR Block-off Plate ( GM Part # is 24575505 )
1999 2.4L EGR Block-off Plate Gasket ( GM Part # is 24573947 )
1999 2.4L EGR Block-off Plate Bolts ( GM Part # is 11517518 )

99 was the only year with them

all it does is block the port in the head , and YES ITS FITS THE 96-98 HEADS

Will i get a trouble code(Check Engine Light) from bolting this on, and if so what can i do about it?

If you are not going with the supercharger or HO manifold route.. dont even bother removing the EGR. It doesnt hurt performance. I only removed mine because I went with supercharger route and my current 2nd cav is getting HO manifold slapped on as well.

And by the way... I forgot... Most likely yes u will get a CEL. I've heard a couple of people on the org removed the EGR and never got a CEL.

its easy to make . i traced the egr and marked the holes on a piece of metal took a grinder went to town and put the stock gasket and some black silicon. and it works great. all i had to buy a 3 bolts cost me maybe 2 dollars . and it looks just like the one u can buy just CHEAPER!

What did u do with the hose that runs to the intake manifold, or did u just go with the HO.

Funny I have never seen a blocking plate for the EGr on any 99 2.4. I have seen the different exhaust manifold gasket to block it off on the exhaust side. If you block the EGR and do not reprogram the computer, or reflash it you will get a code.
