Which header should i get for my 2200 cav I've heard that the pacesetter headers sucks but theres also a weapon r header out there, rk sport header, and dc sports i have no clue on which one to get im lookin for one with the best hp gains not best bang for buck

Well, the paint will burn off, but its no different performance wise than the ceramic coated one.

Heat wrapping voids the warranty and not suggested. The coated ones also help for corrosion resistance.

wrap is bad. moisture can get in underneath the wrap, and rust out the header.

the black steal header has a coating that rusts off when used. thats why everyone says they suck. but what most here dont know is that the black coating is used for protection during shipping. and when the customer gets the header, they are supposed to have the coating removed and then have the header coated.

but whatever you do, dont use heat wrap

There's also plenty of choices on eBay. I just installed an eBay header on my friend's car and it's working great. Couldn't tell you what brand it is, it's not even an OBX, but it looks good, fits right, and it does its job. Can't argue with that, right?

My coated one is still shiney as well.... then again it hasn't even seen 100 miles yet. .... but has been on for 4 mos, and will probably be off before it hits 500 miles... ha ha... damn boosting obsession.

Too bad you don't have a 2.4. Someone on the org is selling a Stan's header for $400 in the classifieds.

They sell the 2.4, 2200 and 2.2 ecotec variety. Pricey, but looks pretty solid.

^^^^^^^ the 2.4 header is good, pricey but good, if you're gonna spend that much get the ceramic coated, easy install.
