well i am doing a complet rebuild on my 2.4l ld9 5 speed with a ported head, jbp stage 2 cams,2.3l oil pump coversion and more you can check my profile for the rest of the build.

Iam just wondering if you guys think 11.1: comp is to high or compression for a daily driver more of a weekend car
but i just want to be able to drive the car and take it to the track on weekends and not have a @!#$ load of problems.

so is 11.1: to high if so what are your recamendations for compression.

Thanks you,
Paul

Did you know some Celica run 11.5:1 stock? I'm running 12:1 on pump gas.

11:1 is not to high.

Listen to these guys they know what they are talking about. The only thing you might have to do with running 11:1 CR is use 89 Oct fuel or better. It is better to be safe than sorry.

In the planning stage for an all American TRD Cavalier.

plain old felpro one will be more than enough. You'll most likely have to use 91 octane on the engine but it all depends on how wild those cams are and how much they bleed down the compression as well as your timing tables.
