all that motor work, AND slicks just to run 14s?!

What a waste....

I did some figuring due to weight and with the slicks and such this thing couldn't have over say 175 horsepower. Granted thats a large gain over stock on the 2.2 but still. I just can't comprehend spending a few thousand dollars to build a "drag" car and only running 14s.

low 14's N/A in a 4-cyl is respectable.. doin it with an engine that barely made 100 HP from the factory, is a bit more than that! Yeah you can hit that time with a quad4 in a 3rd gen, but its cool to see an OHV done well. its got my props..

Yes, Byrons car has been posted before. That's an old posting, He has run better since that was posted, but I don't remember what the times were. I think it was in the high 13s.

I talked to him some time about a month ago he still has the 2200, and a built quad 4. He is looking at selling the car and both motors CHEAP.

Heres a link to his profile. Very little in it. I have some pictures somewhere.

Crazy... one f'ing serious pushrod motor. Mad props to the guy...

I so want 13s n/a next year, should be doable too if I can get my tuning issues solved.
