i went to a junkyard and got duels off a wrecked 03 sunfirethat were in (MINT CONDITION) and bolted right up to my cav all the way around and look great,i got right after the header all the way back and they look great,and i love it cause 1.factory @!#$ lasts longer than aftermaket and 2.cavs werent even available with factory duels 3. it dosent sount ricey but still provides more flo.......great mod for 75 bucks!!!!! but i actually got it for free so boooya but he said it would only be like 75 to buy that exhaust though........just a little FYI
welcome to the duels club....i have cat back custom duals....splits off of the muffler....its a real low rumble and i love it

dude dont get all nuts now becuase someone called you a noob. people know that it will bolt up already, there have been post in the past. its also just a simple thought that, if both jbodies are nearly identical, then alot of te parts can be swapped. ie, fenders, hoods, interiors, exhausts, engines, etc

haha that post is worthless.... the 1 guy that did actually do it said he had to move something or weld a pipe or something anyway i dident have to mod anything it was a bolt on thing and, in that post nobody could say for sure if it would work so ah yeah i was just saying for sure it would work and i was only trying to help people by saying on my 04 its a bolt on thing that i would recomend it to any one looking to do this mod its very easy.........................................................................................................................so whatever

Actually, its just a factory appearance option. It really doesn't provide better flow.
Take the Sunfire GT's for example, one muffler is bigger than the other. Its designed that way to restrict the flow on the passenger side for optimal economy.

I will vouch that the GT's stock duals flows better then a SE's single muffler being that I had/have both models. When I had the standard GT setup, on idle, the left exhausted a sizable amount of air out, while the right one was barely apparent. Accelerate the engine and you start to have an even, equal and large amount of air come out at the same time from both mufflers. Which leads me to believe... . Better flow.
The set up I have now, the amount escaping out is minimal air at idle on both, step on the accelerator and both sides once again flow out even with equal and large amounts of air. This has been the same with 4 exhaust setups I had already.
Now does it add more power? I don't know because I have not tested the dual vs single. But when I did a baseline dyno run ages ago on the GT, the power rating was above average for a "off the factory floor" 2.4L J. Is it a "factory freak?" Duals? Or just a properly maintained car? That I will never know.

as far as I knew, duals on a single header car is worthless, rather than running 2 straight pipe on a v8 or an h pipe. How are you gaining power if exhaust is coming out of 1 pipe, then attempting to come out another? Wouldnt you be losing power since your breaking up the exhaust?
