Hey guys, its been a while.... I've been quite consumed with work and had to take a sanity break from the car thing for a while. Isn't it ironic that I finally have the money to do all the cool things I wanted to do, and no time? But anyway, I'm back now, but with some bad news, at least for the OHV crew. Anything that I'm doing with the '87 will not likely result in an LN2 powerplant, and as such, the OHV build guide that I wanted to do is in trouble. So if anyone's left that cares enough and would like to take over in my stead, I'll gladly send you the information that I did build up in the process. Most of it is here on the .org in some form or another already, but I have it condensed and a little more organized in Word documents. So Notec, or Madjack, if any of you guys are left and want to take up the reigns let me know.
At this point, powerplant is undecided, but its more likely to be a 3800 s/c bottom end with turbo. I haven't even had a chance to work on it since I've gotten it but things have finally quieted down and it should be getting stripped down for the first round of work before Christmas..

Welcome back! Good to see you're doing a turbo project. I'm working on the turbo setup for my LN2 as we speak, and it should, barring any setbacks, be completed in the spring. I'm working on a really tight budget, so we'll see what happens. I've been getting a lot of info from some of the other boosted LN2 guys and when it's all said and done, I'd like to do a full write-up on it. When it comes to all-motor, I've got it down but boosting one of these motors is a whole new experience lol...
Anyways, good to have you back, man. Good luck with the new project, and if you or whover takes over the build guode needs any help, I'd be happy to help in any way I can. I'm pretty dedicated to the LN2 myself and I've been working on a few things of my own.
nice to see ya back... i prolly wont do the full guide but id love to have the info... as soon as i get my 2200 running a decent sized wet shot ill prolly be investing in a new vehicle.... but still would like to get a few more horses out of the 2200... you can send it my way it ya want
and btw welcome back.
still here just lurking around more than posting b/c this site is turning into a dump like all the JBO OG's told me it would

Yeah that was another part of the reason i've been off the .org also... I don't plan on being around much until I get to make some progress on the car so I can post it up. I feel bad giving up on all my big LN2 goals but with limited time to work its going to take me long enough to finish the project using a motor that already has an extreme aftermarket. Plus the goal with this one has always been to do it right from the beginning, with no cheap "good enough for now" fixes. I'm aspiring to the level of anal-retentiveness that my uncle applies to his hot rods with this one, since it may very well be the last major project car I do since I'm trying to get my sh*t in order to buy a house and start being a grown up. Good to see you guys are all still around, when I get back to the house I'll send over the files I have. Just make sure your email is in your registry for me.

I'm around. Same story, little time to post. And the technical stuff seems to fall on deaf ears for the most part.
I've acquired a 97 2.2 engine, trans, pcm and harness.
I've got my BB T28.
I've got a purple 2.2 Cav (wife wants purple, it's really her car, and I'm not doing a color change).
I've got a 94 3.1 ragtop which I'm stripping for parts. I'm looking for the rocker panel supports and a couple of other goodies.
I've been given a 94 Z24 to strip. Getting 5 speed, clutch pedal assy, 'glass hood, aluminum wheels, strut tower brace, and whatever else comes to mind.
I've got the semi finished tooling for the top feed conversion.
Maybe next summer I can start doing the work on the car and not just the parts that go in it. lol.

OHV loooooooooooooooooooove
I'd love to work on the guide, but I don't have much more time than those^^^ guys... I'm STILL (over a month now) waiting for the cometic gasket to put the motor together

You can send it to me though, maybe next summer I could dedicate a chunk of time.
Oh yeah:
