First let me say that I have had this running for while now, so it was working fine.
I moved the unit to gain access to something under the hood. put back, only took a min really. I hopped in the car to go out and. the top rev limiter kicks in at about 3100 rpm as if the rev limiter ( blue I think) is grounded. its not. In fact I made sure it was isolated so that it couldn't accidentally be tripped. the red light appears solid at idle*. I used the bypass plug and everything is fine so it has to be with the MSD.
Anyone know of something that might cause this? I have the older style unit with the dip switchs.
*4 SP auto idles at about 500-550 normally
mine decided to fry as well.... call it a loss. and find a new one.
