Getting to know my ECOtec

I'm trying to find out what other people have done to there ECOtec's without building the motor like GM says to do. I know there are the basic bolt ons but i cant find the right stuff.

what exactly are you looking for? intake? header? exhaust? turbo kit?
if you cant find those then you are not looking hard enough. and there is always a search button. and the performance FAQ at the top of this forum

no i got all that stuff intake headers and exhaust i don't want a turbo is there other stuff you can do

free.... nothing is free! intake, header/exhaust, cams, flywheel..... ect

ok other then all that like pulling timing and porting you don't need to spend money on that stuff i know about the basics i got an ECOtec 22, and a DSM on the DSM i can port alot of stuff i just don't know about the cavy

nothing really. just removal of the side moldings, clear climate control knobs, stuff like that.

yes. but with just bolt ons you wont need any more feul. bigger injectors and feul is better suited for boost

i always tell everyone who wants a cheap upgrade to spend the maybe 20 bucks on bigger ground wires and upgrade your grounds under the hood...very cheap and is said to help out a lil bit...

ummm you could do some pullys....

paint everything red...i hear red paint and stickers make u go faster....

I'm sorry. If you know this stuff, and have done this stuff then you would know a motor is a motor, and if you can port a DSM motor, you can port a cavy motor. At the same time porting is not free mods. Pulling timing is not really free mods either. You have to have a way to pull that timing.

yea i got a die grinder and i ported the o2 housing on the dsm, but theres no turbo on the cavy and I've got a timing light to do timing

the only way i know of is using HPtuner software to do some timing. but that aint free, neither is the laptop you need to run it
