Im not looking for an exact estimate because I know it will very from area to area, just looking for a general idea of what some people payed for an Ecotec motor from a JY.

I got mine free. A guy from the area wanted to get ride of it and i was the first to say i would come and pick it up. pranted the pistons were rather shot, some minor scratches in cylinder one but i got it all fixed. In the southern WI part they can vary from 450-2000. It depends on how well the junkyard can move the engine parts, how many they have, how offen they get them. Call around the junk yards and if it would be more then 1500 and you really need one go and buy a crate 2.2 ecotec from GM

i paid 300 and i feel i got ripped off because it was a bare motor (no accesories and half the mounts missing) and one of the rods was bent...kind of pissed, but not really
