hey ya'll i got a 95 cavalier and i am need a little help...you see I'm looking to get a nice deep tone out of my exhaust...i mean i seen civics that sound deeper then my car...ewwww, but anyways i have a cheapy eBay muffler that sounds like crap that am soon getting rid of but the question I have is how do i do it....i mean besides a new muffler, get that nice deep tone? somebody was also telling me something about resonators what does it do and does it go on after the cat back and before the muffler and can i use it with a muffler? what is a glass pack also? should i look into these as well? I've seen like these turbo mufflers that are suppose to sound nice but what do you guys think? THANKS EVERYONE.
To get the deepest toned exhaust, you're going to want to redo your entire exhaust from the exhaust manifold to the muffler. Pack as much resonated piping in there as you can. Make sure you get mandrel bends, I'd say keep with 2.25" piping.
The more resonators = the deeper the tone.

Also, the resonator(s) will not go before or after your cat back. It will go IN before your muffler. You basically will cut out some exhaust piping and replace it with resonator. In other words, you need to be able to weld (to do it the right way), or at least get it to a shop that can do it for you.
