I am in the process installing my buddys upper and lower poly mounts, Hes got 2000 cavalier 2.2L 4 spd auto, The question I got does anyone know how to remove the square rubber motor mount that sits under the poly mount insert?. I am noticing that the mount needs to be replaced. It looks to be wornout.
Anyone has any idea's that would be great.
thanks.
youll need to get a new mount then put the insert in it
or just get a new upper mount from aaron at turbo tech racing
he makes a great upper mount
ive got the 2.4 mount on my cav , and love it

the large insert is crimped into the bracket you need just chesel the mount off and when you get the replacement it will come with two bolts that go into the two existing holes on the bracket. not good description but i'm sure you'll figure it out.
ok, Now is this an aftermarket mount?. Or If I go with stock one from the dealer does it come with the whole bracket & mount?. Or chisel the mount off is the only option?.
if you get the mount from the dealer it will see the whole rubber bushing that is incased in the metal frame....i believe the only thing you have to transfer is the bracket from the mount to the engine.....i personally would buy the upper moutn from Aaron at TTR.
