Good Exhaust Size?

Okay i have thought about the idea of keeping the 2.4 in my current car and buying a 2001 Stripped car to do the LS1 swap. so i can start from scratch and work my way up.

For the 2.4 Application, i plan on:

Head work
High output cams
Pistons
Rods
Header - 2.5' Exhaust
Copper ring the block

im wanting speed and horsepower gentlemen!

id like to see my 2.4 get into the low 13's high 12's

Does anyone here have mods done to their car that has got them this on time slip?

if so what mods do u have done and what do u recommend?

Karo is the only one we know of who has done it with a FWD Naturally Aspirated motor that came in a 3rd gen J-body. Skwirl is close to high 13's in his ECO (as well as some others). Otherwise you are looking at Nitrous or Forced Induction to get that low.

"Youth in Asia"...I don't see anything wrong with that.

Yeah, that's not worth it, especially if you are seriously considering an LS1 Jbody, I'd return the current car to drivable for as cheaply as possible and start saving about 20 grand for starters. If you want more from the 2.4 do some bolt ons, but internal work just seems totally frivilous if you want to an ls1 car. But, I'm sure I'll give birth to an adult philipino before that comes to fruition.

Search button ftw. Or just read around the first two pages of the performance forum, there are atleast 4 different threads like this.
