I'm looking to get a cat back either 2.5 inch or 3 inch. I can either get some flexable pipe from jegs that is stainless or order a set up from ebay. I was curious if anyone has any first hand experience with this type of ebay set up
(ebay exhaust) It looks like it may be a 3 inch set up which is fine because my car is turbo charged. I'm just curious about fitment and quality. So does anyone have any first hand experience with this exhaust??
I wouldn't buy that. It looks like typical cheap ebay crap. I pretty much stay away from anything with japanese symbols all over the place and jdm written on it.
With timeslips in the 16's and 17's, any exhaust over 2.25 will DECREASE performance on the 2.2L. If you have the materials, go ahead and buy some mandrel bends off of Jegs and go from there. Exhaust is pretty simple to do yourself.
Wait, scratch that, you say that you are almost turboed, then bigger is better!!

Go with 3 inch in my opinion, turbo's love big exhaust. But yeah, go with Jegs bends and do your own, it creates bonding time between you and your car
Have a friend with an eclipse tsx (i think it's an eclipse, but maybe a talon, can't remember)
pretty decent low mileage 80k or so, car.
decided to get an intercooler kit for it, and hit up ebay.
fits pretty well, except that it didn't come with enough intercooler piping, and he had to go to the local exhaust shop and have a few pieces of exhaust pipe bent to finish it. other then that, and the little problem of the welded connection right after the air filter for the BOV being at the wrong angle and not being able to connect a hose to it, and not having enough mounting hardware, and leaking, it's a pretty sweet setup. kinda looks like he "hired the handicapped" to build it as my mom would say.
i have one

. And well i like it but when I was putting it on. 1st they said it was for a 98 cavalier but it wasn't it was for a 2000+ cavalier the hanger on it only fits the 2000+ cavalier's. And well I cut it off and put on a different hanger. And 2nd the pipe was to long and they never gave me a flange to hook on to the cat. So I cut some off and bought a high flow cat. And got it all welded on. i've looked all over ebay for an exhuast that would really bolt on to my car but your never going to find one if you have a 95 - 99 cavalier. I mean u can look just take notice to where the hanger is on it. In the end for me it was worth it for a $200 ehaust i really like mine and theres no rust on it so its all good.

same thing happend to me with my ebay exhaust. Pipe was a lil too long n the hanger didnt match up, but it did come with the flange to connect to the cat.
no more cavy...now 240 =]
I see a cool-air intake
It's got a NOS-fogger system and a T-4 turbo
I see an A.I.C. controller
It has direct port nitrous injection
Yeah, a stand-alone fuel management system
...Not a bad way to spend $10,000
Well I went ahead and bought the cat back from ebay. Overall it looks well worth the money. Everything is polished stainless steel and the muffler has a silencer. The only I don't like is that it didn't come with a resonator, but with the turbo it should be quiet enough. I haven't installed it yet so I'm not sure about the fit but everything looks to be in the right spot. I'll post pics once its installed in a few weeks.
