I plan on buying this magnaflow muffler and having it installed for the spring time as soon as im convinced that it won't sound awful or overally loud on my 03 automatic Sunfire. Also is this muffler illegal because I won't be happy if I end up getting it and then having to take it off. I am just looking to add a nice but not overally loud deep sound to my car.

If you want to know if you muffler is legal or not (I assume you mean sound wise) check your local laws for exhaust sound volume. I have the Magnaflow 14329 Muffler and it sounds good. Its not overly loud (unless at WOT), not to raspy and doesnt crackle and pop.
dude i had a muffler similar to that and i had to take it off because it wouldn't pass inspection...they said theres a new law in massachusettes saying your not allowed to have aftermarket mufflers on, so there goes 150.00 dollars...

Well Drew: I am pretty sure you will do fine with that muffler, Its a nice sounding muffler, And my friend has it on his 2000 cavalier, His car passes the emission tests all the time, I say go for it. If youre not sure about the city laws check with youre local city hall, I am sure you will be fine.
